DESCUBRIENDO LONDRES- DÍA 1

Desde hace un tiempo tenía el deseo de hacer un viaje sola. Al no poder venir ninguna de mis amigas conmigo, este deseo se cumplió y aquí os traigo el resultado de mi viaje por Londres.

El primer día visité lugares como Notting Hill con sus casitas de colores, el mercado de Portobello, fui de tiendas por Oxford Street, Picadilly, Covent Garden y muchos otros sitios.

Tuve la suerte de que mi tía vive allí por lo que el tema del alojamiento no fue un problema. Además, a la hora de coger transporte, ella me pudo ayudar bastante para evitar que me perdiera.

Este primer día pudo estar conmigo y acompañarme al inicio de la aventura.

A las 9 y media de la mañana salimos de la estación de Richmond hacia Portobello. Anduvimos muchísimo, vimos edificios preciosos y comimos en Hyde Park.

Las ardillas pasaron de mí y por eso no tengo ninguna foto con ellas, pero a mi tía le venían y eran muy monas.

Las zonas que visitamos este día estaban llenas de colores vivos. Nunca imaginé que Londres sería tan bonito.

La verdad es que me imaginaba la típica ciudad europea muy blanca y con edificios enormes y perfectos, sin una sola marca de humedad. Pero no, tiene mucha personalidad y además las casas tienen una altura perfecta, nada de alturas innecesarias.

Por la tarde estuvimos en Chinatown, Carnaby Street (otra aventura me llevaría a esta calle en otra ocasión que ya os contaré por aquí).

Mi tía se fue sobre las 3 y media y yo aproveché para visitar la National Gallery, situada en Trafalgar Square. Cuando salí del museo, había esta luz tan bonita, ¿no os encanta?

Si sois amantes de la pintura, es visita obligada este museo sin duda. Yo la verdad es que soy más de escultura, pero tienen cuadros magníficos y merece la pena. A Ana, mi mejor amiga – estudia Historia del arte- le hubiera encantado ir.

Tras la visita a la National Gallery cogí un bus a Harrods. En este bus me hice amiga de un señor sueco que me empezó a contar la historia de los países nórdicos en inglés. A pesar de mi decente nivel con el idioma, no capté toda la historia, pero el señor era muy majo jajaja

Finalmente llegué a Harrods. La verdad es que no suelo entrar a tiendas o grandes almacenes de lujo porque yo soy de las que si no puede comprar, ni mira. Sin embargo, es muy bonito por dentro y recomiendo mucho verlo.

Al salir, ya había oscurecido, lo que me permitió ver las luces de Harrods por la noche. Muy bonito, la verdad. Las fotos que saqué no le hacen justicia así que os invito a que lo veais vosotr@s cuando vayáis 🙂

Mi vuelta a casa pasó por coger 2 metros y 2 trenes. Me medio perdí en la estación de Victoria (National Rail)  pero tras hablar con prácticamente todos los trabajadores del  lugar, cogí mi tren sin problemas.

Mi tía vive un poco lejos de Londres centro así que la vuelta fue la aventura real ese día.

 DISCOVERING LONDON- DAY 1

I wished for a long time to make a solo travel. Since none of my friends could came with me, this wish came true. Here I show you my first day in London.

This first day I visited places like Notting Hill with its colorful houses, the Portobello market, shopping in Oxford Street, Picadilly, Covent Garden and a lot more places.

I was lucky because my aun live there so the acommodation was not a problema.

Plus, about the public transport, she could help me enough in order to not get lost.

She could come with me this day sharing the beginning of the adventure.

At 9:30 am we went from Richmond station to Portobello. We walked a lot, we saw beautiful buildings and we had lunch at Hyde Park.

The squirrels avoided me and that is the reason I don’t have any picture with them, pero my aunt fed them and they were approching. They were so cute.

The zones we visited that day were full of brigh colours. I have never imagined that London would be this beautiful.

The truth is that I imagined the typic White European city with enormous and perfect buildings. But, instead, this city has a lot of personality and the houses have the perfect hight. No absurd hights.

At the afternoon we went to Chinatown, Carneby Street (another adventure would lead me there in another occasion which I will tell you here).

My aunt left at 3:30 pm and I took this opportunity to visit the National Gallery, placed in Trafalgar Square. When I left the museum, there was a very amazing light, don’t you love it?

If you are painting lovers, this gallery is an essential visit to do. I prefer the sculpture but here there are gorgeous paintings and it worths it. My friend Ana – Art History student- would have  loved to be there.

After the visit to the National Gallery I took a bus to Harrods. In this bus I met a Swede old man who told me the history of the Nordic countries in English. I speak a really decent English but I didn’t understand the whole story. Anyways, he was so nice.

I’ve finally arrived to Harrods. I recommend you to visit it since is very beautiful. Also, it’s better to watch it at night because of the lighting, which is very special.

My way home was a Little too messy but, after getting lost in Victoria Station, I could arrive home.
